We are Joy Bungalow. A 40 units bungalow resort set in tropical jungle on a longest stretch of white sand beach on Jum Island.

There is no electricity on the island.
We generate own electricity for use in our restaurant only.
Guest will be provided with a lantern when they check in.

The island is named Koh Jum which means “Remember Island” situated between Krabi mainland and Lanta Island.
Operation started since 1990.

Prepare to stay longer than planned because once you are settled you will not want to leave!

By Air:
Daily flights from Bangkok. Round trip ticket cost Thb 3,600 (Orient Thai Airways) – Thb 6,000 (Thai Airways International).. Check: Air Asia, Orient Thai, Thai Airways, Phuket Air for updated rate.

From Krabi International Airport take Airport Limousine to Krabi pier (Baht 250 per passenger)
Tell driver to drop off at New Pier. Ride takes 25-30 minutes.
Alternatively you can hire Limousine to Ban Lam Kruad. Turn right at Ban Nhua Klong intersection about 4 Kms. North of the Airport (Thb 600 – 800). Go all the way to the end of the route approximately 35 kms. You will see Ban Nhua Klong Pier. Charter a long tail boat (approximately Thb 1,000). Ask boat man to drop you off at Joy Bungalow, Jum Island. Joy can arrange pick up from airport and hire long tail boat at no additional charge.
Coach;
Coaches leave Bangkok for Krabi daily between 1600 - 1730 hours.
VIP Coach cost Baht 850 for one way ticket per person.
Regular coach cost Baht 500 for one way ticket.
You will reach Krabi around 0530 - 0600 hours.
Take Two rows seats Taxi (Pick up truck taxi) to Krabi New Pier (30 Baht per person).
Ride takes 20 minutes
On return, coaches leave Krabi 1600-1730 arrive Bangkok before 0600 Hours.
SHUTTLE BOAT TO JUM ISLAND FROM KRABI NEW PIER
Shuttle boats operate between Krabi and Lanta Island daily at 11.00 and 13.00 hours during travel season (October – April). Check updated schedule which is not fixed from year to year.
It will stop at Jum Island to let passengers off. Once at Northern part of the Island and again At southern part of the Island. Joy is situated in the Southern part of the Island or second stop between Krabi and Koh Lanta.
Tell boat people you want to go to Jum Island / Joy Bungalow.
350 Baht for foreigners, one way.
Boat ride takes 1 hours and 30 minutes.
When boat stops at Jum Island a long tail boat from Joy Bungalow will come out to transfer passengers on to the beach in front of Joy Bungalow. Look for Joy long tail boat to board.
On Return trip. Same boat leaves Jum Island at 0900 and 1300 hours daily.
Ticket can be purchased at the pier with no reservation required and also at Joy Bungalow on return trip at no additional charge.
FOOD
Regular priced (Fried rice at Baht 50 per serving, Medium Size Magaritta Home made Pizza at Baht 130 per serving).
We have suggested menus which include Thai and European dishes.
Made to order can be provided especially if order in advance. Anything from Phuket Lobster to Local crabs, fishes, shells and squids.

-We have telephone service for both local and long distance calls. (Sorry, no internet)
ACTIVITIES:
-Beach walk, jungle walk, catching crabs, beach fishing, kayaking, bird watching, monkey watching, hiking..ect.
- Rent a Kayak and fish for squid and fish off the beach. Squid fishing is a sure catch and good fun! Ask staff to buy plastic bait from village.
- Rent a motorcycle from staff at friendly cost and tour the Island and villages.
-Fishing: Rent a long tail boat fully equipped with deep sea fishing equipments. Local fisherman-boatman knows the best fishing spots!

- Island hopping & snorkeling: Charter a long tail boat for snorkeling, Island hopping for 2,500 per trip. Boat fits 8 passengers.
- Swimming: Large & long stretch of the beach at Joy gently slopes into the Andaman Sea, ideal from swimming and skinny dipping!
-Beach Volleyball daily (Guest, staff, ect….)
-Petong & Board games: Provided in restaurant area.
